"Our current crisis is more to do with the gap between contemporary culture and the church, which continues to widen. It is a gap or rather a growing ravine that goes as deep as paradigm, language, social organisation and hope. The church is not just out of step, it is often a museum for a past way of life." Ian reviews Kester Brewins 'The Complex Christ'

And one you might have missed:

'Jump Britain' was screened on UK terrestrial TV over the Christmas period and saw practitioners of 'Parkour' visiting UK landmarks in dramatic style. Jonny Baker saw parallels between jumping the rooftops and the emerging church in 2003 after the original 'Jump London':

[STORY] 02.05
Thrift store church
THE CROSS
Escondido : California USA

Our daily life for people of the Cross is spent at our thrift store, which I call the church of the future. Here we meet the seekers and love them into Christ. We help the hurting, feed the hungry, and clothe the needy. We truly are the church and this makes it very hard to "go" to church anymore.

Blogging has changed community and the art of connecting completely. Blogs have become places for self-discovery, journalling and above all - conversation.

YOKE-YEOW YAP's (Malaysia) voyage of discovery - shared with thousands of others - is this month's PICK OF THE BLOGS

we've loosely categorised the site's content into:
