A TOUCHING PLACE FOR THE EMERGING CHURCH | MAY 04

[REFLECTION] 05.04
Network Church
STEVE COLLINS
UK

"If there's one single thing that characterises emerging forms of church across the western world it's that they are networked... It's the context and lifeblood of the emerging church, the arteries of the Body so to speak, and yet it's largely invisible to the existing institutional forms of church."

An incomplete manifesto for cross-cultural missions in the emerging post-modern culture
MATTHEW GLOCK
France

"This is an incomplete document that gets added to from time to time. I'm glad there are a lot of folks around the world who are changing the way things were done."

[VIRTUAL CAFE STORY] 05.04
I was in a dirty and broken city and I saw this homeless guy on a bench
, I went over to him and said "Jesus?" and then he looked at me and I knew it was him.
He said "you found me!"
JAMIE HOSKINS
Canada

[VIRTUAL CAFE STORY] 05.04
We're trying to shake off a lifetime of what Church "looks" like.
AARON HILTON
USA

[EASTER STORY & IMAGES] 05.04
It is finished
MARK PIERSON
NZ

Mark reflects on Cityside's eighth (and his final) Stations of the Cross installations. 900 visitors, controversy in the local press, 14 pieces of art, a leaking pool and "life changing encounters with the God who is responsible for Easter".

Voice and sound became distant, muted. I wanted to scream, hit a wall, start a riot.

Matt Westbrook sees parallels in Fight Club, the words of Jesus and church politics.
